North Carolina Pickle Princess Pageant Featured in Jane Magazine!

Jane Magazine contacted the directors of the NC Pickle Princess Pageant and expressed a desire to interview our 2003 Miss NC Pickle Princess, Melissa Seedorf about her experience of being a "Pickle Queen". Melissa was contacted by the directors and agreed to the interview. Melissa was seen on page 98 of the June/July 2003 issue of Jane Magazine. Congratulations Melissa for receiving national publication!

Members of the NC Pickle Princess Court have returned from Charleston, SC and we have had the time of our lives! ABC News and Good Morning America contacted the directors (Deborah and Desiree Autrey) about members of their court to be featured in a segment of Good Morning America that was to be filmed in Charleston, SC. The producers were contacting pageants in North and South Carolina with unique titles. They selected representatives from each pageant and they selected Kyle Cannon (Jr. Master NC Pickle Prince). While in route to Charleston Tuesday, Deborah and Desiree received a telephone call from ABC, GMA casting director Emily Holland asking for Haley Thurston (Mini Miss NC Pickle Princess) and Bryce Potter (Tiny Miss NC Pickle Princess) as well. With last minute preparation Bryce and Haley arrived very early Wed. morning ready to go! With a very early time call the NC Pickle Princess representatives, parents, and directors arrived on the set at 6:30 Wed. morning. The NC Pickle representatives were interviewed by GMA weatherman Tony Perkins. It was truly an experience of a lifetime and the NC Pickle Princess court would like to thank Good Morning America for giving us this special opportunity! Bryce was fortunate enough to meet Diane Sawyer and had her picture taken with her. Kyle, Desiree, Deborah, and Haley met Tony Perkins!
